Embrace Transformation Amid Bordeaux’s Charm
Clarity Uncorked was born from the idea that the best conversations, the ones that change us, don’t happen in conference rooms. They happen around a table, a glass in hand, in those moments when we drop the script and tell the truth about what’s really going on.
That’s exactly why we created Clarity Uncorked. Picture this: rolling vineyards, strolling local markets, long French dinners, and space to finally exhale. Over days together, we’ll uncork old stories, pour out what no longer serves us, and make room for connection, laughter, and clarity.
This isn’t about quick fixes or self-help homework. It’s about creating a retreat that feels like both an adventure and a homecoming—a chance to remember who you are and where you want to go, surrounded by women who get it.

Valerie Rivera
Group Facilitator and Local Guide
From a military career to earning her MBA at Stanford and founding a company that helps organizations thrive, Valerie’s path has been one of courageous reinvention. She’s designed and facilitated dozens of executive leadership retreats around the world—and now, based in France, she brings that same magic to Clarity Uncorked, creating space for women to slow down, savor the moment, and rediscover what brings them joy, clarity, and connection.

Jen Holt
Certified Life Coach
Jen Holt is the founder of Bright Finch Coaching, a clarity coaching practice focused on holding space and facilitating momentum and confidence to reconnect with what’s beneath the noise of daily life. A longtime strategist and advisor, she brings nearly two decades of experience in high-pressure national security and corporate environments and a personal understanding of what it means to rebuild from burnout into alignment. Through workshops, retreats like Clarity Uncorked, and connection, Jen helps women pause, reflect, and chart new directions that feel both grounded and inspired.

Anna
Restaurateur and Cultural Expert
Anna moved to France 30 years ago and has lived in several cities across the country before settling in the Bordeaux area, where she co-founded and now manages Le Dix-Sept, a lively neighbourhood restaurant. Her career spans multiple fields, from working on Franco-British cultural relations, lecturing at the University of Bordeaux’s School of Business to building her own company—an evolution that reflects her curiosity, adaptability, and drive for meaningful change.
Bilingual and deeply immersed in French culture, Anna brings a grounded, authentic perspective to personal and professional change. When she’s not at the restaurant, she’s most often in her garden, nurturing her plants and reconnecting with the seasons—a daily reminder of the growth, patience, and renewal that guide her approach to life and work.

Michael
Executive Chef and Cultural Expert
Michael is the co-founder and chef of Le Dix-Sept, where he finally put down roots after several nomadic years working as a private chef. He moved to France in 2005, following time in both the UK and the USA, and his path has been anything but linear. Michael explored careers in commercial real estate and aviation, and has supported change-focused development programmes for organisations including British Airways and KPMG. On moving to France he renovated a mediaeval house in the South of France which he transformed into a hospitality business, before training as a chef in Alsace.
Combining the craft of a chef with a deep understanding of group dynamics and personal transformation, Michael brings a unique blend of creativity, structure, and insight to everything he does.
